- Set up a limited company so I could offer NMR Probe Repairs to previous customers after Agilent withdrew from the market.

Customer Support Engineer.
- Set up and run the internal probe repair centre, direct contact with customers to determine the fault, arrange return and instigate repair. Room temperature and cold NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) probes from 200 to 900 MHz.
- Ensured workshop was RoHS compliant.
- Performed all site surveys across EMEAI for potential new customers to ensure site suitability for magnetic, vibration and other environmental issues, issuing a full written report.
- Team leader for 5 UK field engineers organising their daily activities and managing their reviews and salary.
- Visited customer sites throughout EMEAI on occasion to perform on site repairs and analyse more complex issues.

- This was a continuation of position as Oxford took over Resonance Instruments.

Systems Engineer.
- Building of prototype equipment including the design and layout of various parts both electrically and mechanically using LabCentre Proteus CAD software.
- Taking product from design and making suitable for production. Writing build, test and calibration instructions for production and service staff.
- Performed testing to ensure full CE compliance on all products.
- Installation, service and training both in the UK and overseas, of the companies range of NMR Spectrometers and imaging systems.

Contract Engineer.
- Formed a limited company to perform contract work.
- Installation of UPS systems and 50 Volt 400 Amp rectifier systems in Nigeria. Arranged equipment delivery to site and local labour to assist the install.
- Assembly and test of a telephone system test set, completing wiring looms from wire lists and assembly of circuit boards from schematics.
- Assembly of NMR spectrometers. This involved the production of printed circuits boards, including surface mount components, cable assemblies and the mechanical assembly of the product.

Maintenance and Calibration Engineer
- Calibration and maintenance of the environmental test equipment, including climatic chambers and vibration tables. Design and build of test equipment and jigs for products under test, writing of calibration and test procedures. NATLAS and MOD approved and security vetting was required for the position.
- Design and build an automatic system to produce distilled water and to distribute it to all the environmental chambers.
- Servicing medical equipment produced by the company, such as respiration monitors, syringe drivers and pumps. Also the servicing of general test equipment and various types of Automatic Test Equipment.
